Help Desk Analyst

Location: Salem, NH

We're looking for a Help Desk Analyst to provide internal support for employees for all our U.S. and International locations. Candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. The Help Desk Analyst’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests through an in-house ticket tracking tool.

This is an entry level position with the opportunity for growth. It is ideal for someone who is looking to enhance their skills and experience working with a range of applications, hardware and technologies. The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a support background.

Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to maintain professionalism, courtesy, and composure under pressure
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision
  • Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Effectively communicate user errors and explain steps to avoid similar problems in the future
  • Ability to take assigned projects to successful completion

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with employees to resolve network, software or hardware issues
  • Install, configure and manage Windows desktops and servers
  • Network device administration (Switching, Routing, Firewall/VPN, VLANs)
  • Windows Server Administration 2008 R2, 2012,2016
  • VMWare 6.5 and NAS/SAN Administration
  • Builds support documentation as well as document IT procedures
  • On call support on an as-needed basis
  • Perform office moves of computer equipment and inventory tracking of physical equipment
  • Manage help desk tracking system to record all case details in timely manner

Education and Qualifications

  • Computer Science or Associates Degree or equivalent in experience/certificates
  • 2+ years of experience in the IT world (performing support tasks, working in IT, working in a help desk analyst role
  • 2+ years’ experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (2008-2016)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, File & Printer Sharing
  • Understanding in VMWare or other virtualization technologies
