Senior Safety and Risk Management Consultant

Mr. Lin’s present focus is on pressure relief and flare system (PRFS) design and analysis for several chemical and petrochemical companies in the United States and Middle East. He evaluates and sizes reactive relief systems, and is knowledgeable in the development of relief system mitigation options. Mr. Lin is skilled in isometric sketching and drawing interpretation. He is also experienced in flare and header network analysis and ethylene and acetylene decomposition analysis.

Project Sampling

Reviews peer reports for evaluation and design of PRFS for clients.

Served as on-site representative with responsibility of performing calculations for PHA action items.

Participated in developing a procedure for modeling emergency depressurization systems.

Participated in the development of algorithms for partially filled horizontal vessel heads, dynamically model-ing vessel wall temperatures, and determining surface area of a piping network given a fire circle.

Participates in PHA studies utilizing various hazard identification techniques, including HAZard and OPerabil-ity (HAZOP), Check-List, and What-If methodologies.

Participates in process safety management (PSM) audits to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.119 and EPA RMP regulations.
