The EPA recently published significant revisions to the Risk Management Program (RMP), and the updated regulations took effect on May 11, 2024. The RMP amendments mandate that covered facilities, including chemical plants, refineries, and other industries, adhere to stringent new requirements for accident prevention, safeguard measures, and emergency response. Additionally, these amendments require that more information about chemical hazards be shared with the public. Companies only have until May 10, 2027, to fully implement the new requirements into their Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, join us for this Microsoft Teams live instructor-led course facilitated by Anna Shinkawa. Ms. Shinkawa has over 12 years of experience managing and executing pressure relief and flare system design and analysis, quantitative risk assessments (QRAs), and facility sitings for large chemical and petrochemical companies in the U.S. She has also conducted PSM and RMP audits for major chemical facilities.
This course will help facility owners and operators understand and develop implementation strategies for the new EPA RMP requirements. Key aspects of the changes and the challenges related to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP), facility siting, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Safer Technology Alternate Analysis (STAA), and Process Safety Information (PSI) will be covered.
The course is conducted in a one day session delivered live via Microsoft Teams in a safe, dynamic learning environment on Thursday, May 15, 2025, 2025, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm CST.
Once the course is successfully completed attendees are eligible to receive a 20% discount on Process Safety Office® PSMPro™ purchase. Restrictions apply.
This course is designed for facility managers, engineers, risk management professionals, and process safety experts who seek to understand and develop implementation strategies for the new Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements.
To ensure a smooth Microsoft Teams session, you will need a reliable and stable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth, ideally achieved by using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi whenever possible.
