Mechanical/asset integrity is as critical as process design for ensuring the safe operation of facilities. As one of the 14 elements in the OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Standard 29 CFR 1910.119, it plays a foundational role in risk-based process safety management systems. However, implementing or enhancing an asset integrity management system can be a complex and time-consuming endeavor. What steps should you take to successfully maintain equipment integrity, schedule inspections, and track deficiency resolutions at your facility?
Join us on Tuesday, October 7, and Wednesday, October 8, 2025, for this Microsoft Teams live instructor-led course facilitated by Dianne Coon, a CSP Certified Safety Professional with over 30 years of experience in process safety and health, and safety and environment (HSE) management. She is a recognized expert who has implemented compliance and process management initiatives for facilities in the United States and worldwide.
This course will provide learners with an overview of an asset integrity management system and how the system fits into the broader framework of process safety management. The instructor will demonstrate how to create and prioritize an equipment list based on common standards and definitions. This course will help facility managers and PSM professionals become knowledgeable on the steps to determine, plan, and execute appropriate inspections, the testing and preventive maintenance (ITPM) program, and how to manage deficiencies.
Learners will also gain an understanding of how to create a comprehensive asset integrity management system training program to ensure the competency of key personnel. This course will include insight into developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking and reporting on the performance of your asset integrity management system. The aim is to maximize a plant’s efficiency and reliability with a structured and methodical approach.
Tuesday, October 7, 2025 9:00 am – 4:00 pm CST Wednesday, October 8, 2025 9:00 am – 4:00 pm CST
This course is suited for reliability engineers, asset managers, and program managers looking to establish or enhance an asset integrity management system for regulatory compliance and to minimize equipment downtime. Attendees should already have a foundational understanding of asset integrity management systems and their importance in safeguarding people, assets, and the environment.
To ensure a smooth Microsoft Teams session, you will need a reliable and stable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth, ideally achieved by using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi whenever possible.
