Our Keynote Speaker

2026 Keynote Speaker

Eric M. Smith, P.E., LEED A.P. of the International Institute of All-Natural Refrigeration (IIAR)

Vice President and Technical Director Eric Smith will present highlights of a future where refrigeration is increasingly sustainable, energy-efficient, and primarily utilizes natural refrigerants, guided by modern safety standards and technological innovation. Hear how refrigeration is transitioning away from high Global Warming Potential (GWP) synthetic refrigerants towards low-GWP, natural alternatives such as ammonia, CO₂, and propane.

What You Missed In 2025

Consequence Modeling for Threshold Quantities

At the ioMosaic 19th annual global software users group meeting, Neil Prophet and Jay Lin, P.E., demonstrated how to perform model simulations in SuperChems to predict the potential impacts of a hazardous material release where the released quantity reaches or exceeds TQ. Real-world examples of phosphine, hydrogen sulfide, formaldehyde, chlorine, and hydrogen fluoride chemicals were presented.
