Project Sampling

Experienced with all aspects related to pressure relief and flare system design as well as the relevant codes and practices. His familiarity ranges from relief system data gathering, isometric sketching, pressure relief and flare system calculations and report generation, and development of mitigation options. He has also analyzed individual relief valves, pressure vents, flare systems and vent header systems.

Performed quantitative risk assessment studies of three natural gas transfer facilities located in Brazil and one natural gas transfer facility in Canada.

Managed a project team which performed major QRA and building vulnerability studies of two entire oil refineries in the Middle East.

He has participated in numerous hazard identification studies for a variety of scenarios including liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, oil terminals, tank farm and wharf, laboratory relocation, numerous overpressure scenario reviews, etc.

During his time at Det Norske Veritas, Mr. Prophet acted as department internal auditor and later as an office quality manager, while ensuring ISO 9000 compliance.

Project manager and lead auditor of a major relief systems audit for a large U.S. refinery, reviewing all aspects of the relief and flare systems design basis.
